A Little Bit About Me
I am a practising Muslim who holds strongly to the fundamentals of my faith, such as praying regularly. I recognise I still have a lot to learn and am hopeful this will be remedied over the coming years iA.

I studied up to Masters and am now a qualified chartered accountant. I enjoy my work, although it has quite seasonal busy peaks requiring weekend work as well as travel to client sites, which can require being away from home for around 10 weeks of the year.

Culturally, I would describe myself as a traditional-ish Bengali. I am quite family orientated and very close to both my parents. My parents have relied on me a lot and this ability to help them in every way, financially or otherwise, has and always will be very important to me, including after marriage.

I have always been quite a serious and responsible person – perhaps a side-effect of being the older sibling (I have one younger brother), but I am also quick to laugh and easily amused. I highly dislike any kind of conflict, and have a peacemaking nature. Others would also describe me as honest and straightforward without pretence. I can be slightly shy and introverted, but I find my character tends to reflect those I am with.

I enjoy catching up with friends, going out for food, visiting interesting places and long walks in nature. On the rare occasion that I have travelled, I love seeing historical sites.

What I Am Looking For
My ideal partner would share the same beliefs and values as me, in particular prays regularly and has halal income.

I would like a partner who supports me in my career goals and is understanding about the requirements of my job. In this respect I am looking for someone who sees me as an equal partner, both at work and at home.

I am looking for someone who is family orientated and caring, who will come to care for my family as much as I care for theirs, and share responsibilities for both sides. Trust is also important to me, especially as I am away from home occasionally. Due to my family they would also have to be bengali.

Ideally I would like to be with someone with a calm, easygoing and gentle temperament. I’m not an argumentative person and prefer to talk through issues. They would also make me laugh, be more outgoing, and encourage me to come out of comfort zone - balancing my more reserved nature.
